Want to know more about RSS feeds, subscribing to our podcasts, and iTunesU?
If you subscribe to the RSS feed of one of our podcasts, you won't need to visit this page to download the latest news. When you subscribe to an RSS feed, your RSS Reader will make sure you always have the most current version of our podcasts ready to listen to. RSS feeds are written in a markup language called XML (which stands for eXtensible Markup Language, if you're curious). To make sense of the XML file, you'll need a program that knows how to both read and keep track of your favorite RSS feeds. This type of program is called an RSS Reader or an RSS Aggregator. There are many RSS Readers available to you. Some are standalone applications and others are plug-ins for popular email programs like Microsoft Outlook or plug-ins for web browsers like Firefox. There are many free web-based RSS readers available, such as Newsgator Online and Bloglines. After you've settled on an RSS Reader, you simply right-click (control-click on a Mac) on the orange Penn State Berks Podcasts are also available through iTunes. Check us out and subscribe at iTunesU. After logging in with your PSU ID, click on Penn State Podcasts under Around Penn State. |
