Are You an Adult Learner?
Adult Learner (a-dult' learn' er) n. A person who is (1) 24 years of age or older, or (2) a veteran of the armed services, or (3) returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking, or other activity, or (4) a person who assumes multiple roles such as a parent, spouse/partner, employee, and student (Penn State Commission for Adult Learners).
We realize that adult students typically have different needs than the traditional 18-23-year-old student. We are eager to offer support to meet those needs and help adult students gain a sense of belonging to the college. Please review our PDF guide to learning opportunities for adults.

Adult Fitness Program (F.I.T.T.) - All adult students are welcome to participate - regardless of your level of fitness. Come join faculty, staff, and other adult learners on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 pm in the BCC auxiliary gym. Each workout will include a warm-up, cardiovascular activity, cool down, stretching, and strength exercises. All workouts will be administered according to ACSM guidelines for adults. We will be outdoors walking to enjoy the beautiful weather for the beginning of the semester (indoors with an aerobic exercise activity when weather is rainy). Later in the semester, we will add more functional and strength exercises.
